Privacy Policy

Overview

ScrollGenius is planned as an anonymous-first learning app. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.

No account required (v1)

Version 1 of ScrollGenius does not require registration or login. You can use the app without providing an email address, name, or other identifying information.

Local data

Your learning progress (e.g. which cards you've seen, saved, or completed) may be stored locally on your device. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us by default.

Optional custom topics and AI prompts

If you use features that let you request custom topics or submit prompts to generate learning cards, that input may be transmitted to our backend and/or a third-party AI provider to generate the requested content. Please do not enter sensitive personal data (such as health, financial, or government identifiers) into these prompts.

Purchases (future)

If premium or in-app purchase features are enabled in the future, Apple may process purchase and subscription data as part of the App Store transaction. That data is handled according to Apple's privacy terms.

Data deletion

Because v1 has no account, there is no app account to delete. You can remove all locally stored ScrollGenius data by deleting the app from your device. If accounts are added in the future, an in-app account deletion path will be provided.
